What personal information about customers does unscruff and unscruff.com gather?
The information we learn from customers helps us personalize and continually improve your experience with our service. Here are the types of information we gather:
Server Statistics: We collect general statistics to track user trends, market data and demographic and psychographic data on our Site. These statistics include hits to our server, the types of browsers used to access our Site, page views, and navigational patterns. The information that is collected in this manner does not provide us with any personally identifiable information about our users. It helps us track “where” our users are coming from. This allows us to pinpoint high traffic areas and determine the most effective ways to communicate with our users. As part of that ongoing analysis, unscruff also uses devices called “web beacons” to help us identify when emails sent to you have been received and read. In order to prevent the introduction of viruses and hackers into our Site, we may collect information, such as IP addresses, into a log file to be used to identify potential hackers to the unscruff Site.
Email Communications: We may receive confirmation when you open email from unscruff if your computer supports such capabilities. If you do not want to receive email or other mail from us, please contact us at HeyNow@unscruff.com and we will promptly remove you from our mailing lists.
Does unscruff share the information it receives to third parties?
We do not sell or share information about our customers, except in the specific cases described here:
Third-Party Service Providers: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and email, developing systems, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. They have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.
With Your Consent: Other than as set out above, you will receive notice when information about you might go to third parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to share the information.
How secure is my Personal Information?
We work to protect the security of your Personal Information during order transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts order information you transmit. We reveal only the last five digits of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.
What about links to other Web sites?
Which information can I access?

What choices do I have?

If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at (310) 935-2343 between 9 and 6 PM Pacific time to be promptly removed from our lists.
